Photos of a rented uncontrollable crowd has hit the social media ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
According to Nwadede, the crowd arrived Makurdi in Trailers and trucks loaded with youths believed to be hired and rented from Bauchi, Nassarawa, Kastina and Kaduna states ahead of President Buhari’s visit.
According to Hope For Nigeria, the president visited the state with 31 truck loads of Fulani people Nasarawa.
The report further said that the “APC Govt have been mobilising crowds from the core North to ensure enough people are seen at Buhari’s visits.”
Other reports, however, show that Benue people are sitting at home and resolved not to welcome the president.

Meanwhile, in another development, suspected herdsmen attacked and killed two police officers in Tse Orogbo in Nyiev Council Ward, Guma LGA of Benue State, on Sunday.
According to an online media, Daily Post, the attackers engaged policemen in a gun duel near one L.G.A primary School before killing two of the officers.
The media reported that the herdsmen had attempted to disrupt a church service before the mobile policemen foiled their attack.
The incident came 24 hours to the official visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the state as part of his scheduled visits to areas infested by herdsmen attacks.
