CHARLY BOY'S OPERATION 'EMPTY THE STREETS....ONE PUNK AT A TIME'

The "EMPTY THE STREETS, ONE PUNK AT A TIME" project is the initiative of Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, to help rehabilitate and re-orientate a minimum of 1,000 people (including the homeless, the prostitutes, recovering drug addicts, at-risk and crime-inclined youths etc) EVERY YEAR from the streets in an organized, well thought-out and sustainable manner. The EMPTY THE STREETS project is one of the many projects passionately designed by Charly Boy foundation all in the bid to help the less privileged in our society get off the streets and up in their lives, thereby giving them hope of a better tomorrow and inspiring the youth in the area of Education, socio-economic development, skill acquisition and Entrepreneurship. The project has its main focus on finding ways of redirecting the youths from vices such as Prostitution, Homelessness, illegal migration, Internet Fraud, Militancy and Criminal Activities to more positive and self actualization activities leading to a better Nigeria. The project focuses on a 5-STEP progressive program that will help our dis-enfrenchised youths get back on their feet over a one year period. The 5-step process is carefully planned to get off 1,000 people off the streets every year by focusing on one person ("PUNK") at a time.

EXPRECTED BENEFICIARIES OF THE PROJECT

The EMPTY THE STREETS project is for all youths from disadvantaged backgrounds, the unemployed, the at-risk youths, prostitutes, drug addicts, militants, internet fraudsters and petty criminals willing and ready to be rehabilitated. Our program aims at getting a minimum of targeted 1,000 at risk- youths off the streets and turning them into productive and contributory members of the society EVERY YEAR. Beneficiaries will come from all areas of the country and will form a corps of youths for positive purposes. We also expect that over one million youths will be impacted by one aspect or the other of the program every year through participation in the motivational seminars that will be organized throughout the country as the first step in the 5-step program.
